14th anniversary: A solidarity message from APDP, Kashmir

Dear Tiananmen Mothers,

The APDP sleuths the courage and determination of the Mothers of Tiananmen, who are seeking justice of their relatives who were killed and made to disappear on June 4, 1989, Tiananmen Square, who were seeking democratic rights in a totalitarian government. The mothers of Tiananmen Square have become the source of the inspiration for the people working in different countries for the democratic and human rights particularly Ding Zilin who galvanize the mothers of the victims and organise the campaign which seems to be impossible and difficult in a country which does not have an open and transparent society.

We believe that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, and all people committed for peace and justice have to strengthen the solidarity that too in era of so-called globalisation. Globalisation also means globalising the responsibilities.

We support the demands of the mothers of the victims for justice and end of impunity. The People's Republic of China, which is fast becoming economic model; for the other countries in true sense cannot be a just society unless it is not going to adhere to the International Humanitarian Law in the words of Ramos Horti,

“Prosperity without democracy and civil liberty is hollow

No true prosperity unless there is democracy and civil liberty
No prosperity unless there is peace

No Pease unless there is justice
No justice unless there is truth”

We believe that all the forces committed to democracy should mount external pressure to the Chinese government.
