Trial Opens in Liu Shihui’s Lawsuit against the Pudong Branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau

On May 26, 2014, lawyer Liu Shihui was released from the Shanghai Pudong Zhangjiang detention center after a 10-day administrative detention, which started as a criminal detention on May 13. Following these events, Liu filed a lawsuit against the Pudong Branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau. On the afternoon of September 23, Liu’s case opened at the Shanghai Pudong New District Court, attended by 60-70 citizens and friends from around the country. During the trial, Liu Shihui spoke sternly and righteously, testifying that the Pudong Branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau had submitted a series of fake and false evidence, and denouncing the defense council’s faulty arguments.

2014年9月23日下午一点四十五分，人权律师刘士辉诉上海市公安局浦东分局刑事拘留转行政拘留行政处罚一案在上海市浦东新区法院29号庭开庭。来自上海，江苏，浙江，河南，福建，湖南，吉林等地的沈艳秋，单利华，王健，陈晨，沙落雁等六七十名公民朋友前来旁听。

庭审中，被告上海市公安局浦东分局出具的一糸列伪证，假证，处罚书被刘士辉律师一一指证出虚假性。被告出具的几组照片没有原告在现场的影像;两份证人笔录通篇是诱导，如穿着像外地人，群体性事件等，证人不出庭，且没有证人签字指纹;《行政处罚决定书》等处罚决定无法出具原件，阴阳印章均是彩印复印，无真实性，合法性可言，唯一真实的《释放通知书》没有关联性。

整个庭审都只听见刘士辉律师义正辞严，铮铿有力的质证，正值风华的年青被告代理方语音含糊不清，更连反驳的胆量都丧失。

合议庭的态度很好，没有无端剥夺刘士辉律师的发言权，书记员将刘律要求真伪印章等司法监定记录在案。
