Qin Yongmin Detained on Suspicion of "Inciting Subversion of State Power"

In January of this year, Qin Yongmin and his wife Zhao Suli lost contact with the outside world. In a summons to human rights activist Shi Yulin to report for questioning on August 28, 2015, the Wuhan City Public Security Bureau states that Qin Yongmin has been detained by authorities on suspicion of "inciting subversion of state power."


中国人权观察理事长秦永敏涉嫌“煽颠罪”拘捕

博讯报道(9月7日),一则武汉市公安局传唤维权人士石玉林的通知书表明,异议人士秦永敏已经被当局以涉嫌“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”拘捕或秘密拘押,时间早于2015年8月26日。秦永敏及其妻子赵素利于今年1月起与外界失联,一直下落不明。

该通知书要求石玉林在8月28日上午11时28分前到宜昌市公安局某派出所接受询问,具体原因是因为武汉市公安局正在办理秦永敏涉嫌煽动颠覆国家政权案。该通知书发出的日期显示为2015年8月26日。

秦永敏,70年代末期以来中国大陆“老牌的政治犯”之一。为了坚持自己的理念,为了行使言论、出版、结社、组党等基本人权,始终战斗在中国的人权活动第一线,历经传唤、监视居住、行政拘留、收容审查、劳动教养、刑事拘留、逮捕判刑、坐牢等一切“合法”的和一切非法的抓捕关押。从1970年到2015年,在45年间被抓捕、拘禁45次,蹲监超过22年,是邓小平时代以来中国坐牢时间最长的政治犯之一。近年来一直在筹建人权观察。
