New York Times: Ex-Professor Given 10-Year Term

Guo Quan, a former associate professor who established an independent political party, was sentenced last Friday by a court in Jiangsu Province to 10 years in prison for “subversion of state power,” according to Human Rights in China, an advocacy group based in New York.
