In advance of the upcoming UN Committee Against Torture’s review of China, Chinese authorities recently submitted their responses to the list of issues raised by the Committee in June 2015.
Scheduled to take place on November 17 and 18 in Geneva, this will be the Committee’s fifth review of China for its compliance with and implementation of the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, which it ratified in 1988.
