In the 900 days Lawyer Wang Quanzhang, from Tianjin, has been in custody—since he was first detained in July 2015 in the 709 Crackdown—he has yet to be allowed to meet with a lawyer; and lawyer Li Yuhan, of Shenyang, who once represented Wang Quanzhang, was arrested in November 2017 on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles.”
In this statement, lawyer Wang Yu, from Beijing, provides an account of an attempt she and several other lawyers made to urge action by the national bar and the Beijing bar on behalf of the two detained lawyers. In the morning of January 4, 2018, lawyer Wang Yu, together with lawyer Lu Tingge (from Hebei Province), lawyer Ma Wei (from Tianjin), lawyer Zhu Shengwu (from Shandong Province), and lawyer Wang Hanzhong (from Beijing), went to the All China Lawyers Association and the Beijing Lawyers Association to demand that they assume the responsibilities of defending the rights of lawyers Wang Quanzhang and Li Yuhan, and that the All China Lawyers Association establish and send an investigating team to Tianjin and Shenyang to investigate the cases.
律协应承担起维护王全璋、李昱函律师权益之职责

1月4日上午，河北卢廷阁律师、天津马卫律师、山东祝圣武律师和北京黄汉中律师、王宇律师来到位于北京市东城区青蓝大厦的中华全国律师协会，要求律协承担起维护王全璋律师、李昱函律师权益之职责。
自称律协权益保护委员会的工作人员程幽燕接待了我们，我们向她介绍了王全璋律师、李昱函律师的现状，递交了书面报告，要求全国律协相关部门安排工作人员组成调查组到天津和沈阳进行调查，并给予维权。
程幽燕开始的态度并不是很好，还说什么只能允许两个人进来，原因是前几天有人雇了黑社会人员对他们进行威胁。我们认为，并没有法律规定只能允许两人进律协，而且我们事先已经说明都是律师，怎么会雇什么黑社会呢？
之后程的态度有所缓和，她说之前律协也有派人去过天津，但没有结果，而对于李昱函的事情，她说并不了解，这次了解了会去调查。并希望代理律师能整理出一份有关李昱函律师的较为全面的文字材料给她。
之后我们要求，如果去当地调查了，还没有结果，应该继续进行调查，直到最后有结果并解决问题。不能像现在这样王全璋已经被羁押900多天居然见不到律师！律协应该出面要求天津看守所允许律师会见，难道说让律师会见王全璋，天会塌下来吗？
我们还提到卢律师在会理法院被打，祝律师律师执业证被吊销和王宇等锋锐律所人员长期无法执业等律师权益被损害的问题。
临走时，我们留下联系电话，希望对我们的要求给予答复，并在合理的时间期限内答复。我们也会再次来律协要求对这次我们的问责予以答复。
从全国律协出来后，我们又去了北京市律协。北京市律协权益中心的工作人员史小磊接待了我们，他只是接收了我们的材料，没有和我们进行交流，我们要求见会长高子程或主任陈强好与之交流，但没有得到回应。
相比之下，全国律协还算是不错的。
我们希望律师的权益受损害的问题能引起律协的重视，虽然他们不是我们选出来的，也希望他们能切实履行起来维护律师权益的职责！
