中国人权与44家非政府组织共同呼吁释放公民记者张展

习主席：

我们是一群捍卫人权和新闻自由的非政府组织，集体敦促您除去张展的罪责，将她释放。张展是一名人权捍卫者、记者，过去曾任律师，目前健康状况岌岌可危，如果继续被拘禁可能很快就会死亡。

2020年2月，张展和其他几名中国记者前往武汉市报导新冠病毒疫情，以出色的报导告知大众这场公卫危机，此举符合《中华人民共和国宪法》第35条明文规定的新闻自由原则。

2020年12月28日，上海市浦东新区人民法院仅经过三小时、未符合国际公平审判标准的审理，便以“寻衅滋事罪”的名义将她判处四年有期徒刑。

在起诉书中，检方在没有提供任何证据的情况下，指控她发布大量“虚假信息”并接受海外媒体采访，这绝非应受谴责的行为。张展没有认罪，并以绝食的方式证明自身清白，导致健康状况恶化。

张展最近几周体重明显下降，现在病况严重。她曾于8月初住院11天，之后又被送回监狱，若不能立即获释，可能会导致她死亡。在羁押期间她一直受到不当对待，这显然有违1988年中国批准并加入的《联合国禁止酷刑公约》。

基于人性的基本尊严，我们恳请您给予张展再次与父母团聚的机会。习主席，我们敦促您行使中国宪法第80条赋予您的权利，确保张展能及时获释。
